Mini-update

29/11/09 - not that I have a mini. I attended the Furnace convention in Sheffield in October. Sold a few copies of Jaws with the aid of the folks at Patriot Games, and a few more from people contacting me after the con. Seems to have really hit a chord in some quarters! The book was also at Indiecon a couple of weeks ago courtesy of Sceaptune Games, though I couldn't make it myself. I was at Dragonmeet in London yesterday, catching up with some fine folks (and a few slightly dubious ones).

I also took a work-in-progress mock-up of Albion to Furnace and got really good interest and feedback that's helped me get clearer about the plan for the book. A revised mock-up (through the power of Lulu) got shoved under the nose of anyone too slow to get away at Dragonmeet. It's looking like a 256-page Letter-size corebook, and I've been gradually acquiring some nice artwork. Getting closer!

Update

2/9/09 - I can't believe it's September already! Time for an update so you know I haven't dropped off the planet.

Jaws of the Six Serpents has been selling well in PDF and print. Many thanks to all who've bought it; to those who haven't, what are you waiting for?  ;)  It's been great to see forum threads on RPGnet where folks are asking questions about it and including it among suggestions for systems to handle people's needs. If you've got it please sprinkle some comments and reviews around - even something brief (and positive!) on RPGNow/Drivethru is helpful.

My attention now is on Albion - Reforged Edition. This is the Celtic-themed fantasy game that I've been working on for A Very Long Time. The Player's Book was released in PDF a few years ago, and is still available at RPGNow, but I stalled on completing the line and, to be honest, that book is not put together very well. I want to bring the design and presentation skills I have now together with the original vision of the setting to release a really good package that'll do justice to the project. There might be other small projects along the way, but I've nothing else planned. I'm aiming to get the Player's Book content, especially the rules, reworked and then to pull in the content originally planned for the GM's Book. I'm not putting a timescale on it, but I want to be well along by the end of the year.
