NUGGET is a trimmed-down version of the LODE system found in Silver Branch products. It aims to be a simple tool for introducing people to roleplaying games or putting a game together in a hurry.

It's a FREE 2-page document (72k pdf). Click here to download it. Now updated to v2!

(You need Acrobat Reader to view the file - get it off a magazine cover CD or click here to download it.)

Obviously there's not enough room to cover a particular style/genre really well, but it's enough to play simple games where characters are basically normal people, perhaps with special skills - horror, crime, low fantasy, science fiction, monster collecting or whatever.

It's easy to carry around, adaptable and simple to explain, while introducing people to some common roleplaying concepts. You just need pencils, paper and a pool of six-sided dice.

Grey Realms
A fantasy setting module for NUGGET. It uses standard fare - gods, elves, dwarves, orcs, mages, priests - but looks at them from a different angle. It's a world where people are flawed, from the gods on down. Now updated to v1.1. Does 50% extra material sound good? Well, yes, it's gone on to 3 pages. 110k pdf

This little seed has grown into the Questers of the Middle Realms game! See elsewhere for details.

Beastwalkers
Billed as "a sort of modern-day fantasy supernatural thingy", and why not. With animal and human faces the Children of the Moon walk alongside humanity and fight lords of the world who are dead inside. Might not mean what you think, and is quite different from That Other Game. And That One. v1.0, 2 pages (told you it was different). 77k pdf
